Take a look, and see if you’ve got 15 GB of free space for the Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Beta which starts on August the 19th on PS4.
The PS4 COD:BO3 version, which begins on the 19th of August, will let players choose from seven game modes: Capture the Flag, Search and Destroy, Demolition, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and the classic Team Deathmach.
These seven game modes will be playable on three maps. Activision describes them as:
- Hunted: Set in Ethiopia, this big game hunting lodge can be found beneath a waterfall in mountains filled with lush vegetation, rugged terrain, and underwater pathways.
- Combine: Players will fight among themselves in a hidden Egyptian Sahara location. Tight interiors, a naked middle ground, and a ton of flanking paths that make Combine deliciously chaotic.
- Evac: In a Singapore flooded quarantine zone, players will battle not only themselves, but also great-heights. Evac is located atop an overgrown rooftop used for emergency evacuation rescues, which is now abandoned.
The trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 beta can be seen just down below. The trailer notes that there may be more maps, and modes added, but for the time being, we know that these will be available for sure on the 19th of August.
Included in the beta is also the new weapon paintshop option. This new feature allows players to add custom designs to guns. Also, the BO3 Beta will introduce eight new different specialists. You can read more about them on Treyarch’s official website.
All of this content will take about 15 GB from your HDD.
All of the progress made during the beta will not be transferable to the full game. There will also be caps on how far you are allowed to progress, but Activision didn’t specified what, and how.
The Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will start on August the 19th, and will finish on the 23rd for PS4 users. It will be followed by a separate beta for PC, and Xbox One users – they will both start on August the 26th, and will end on the 30th.
