Tricky review to write, this one! Tricky review indeed. You see Battlefield 3 is really two separate games fighting for attention in the same package. One of them (and arguably the one that most of the series’ core fanbase are interested in) is very, very good indeed. I hate it when things don’t go according to plan. My feelings towards Frozen Synapse are similar to that of when you plan to hang out with someone and one hour before they say, “Nah, can’t do it today.” Playing Frozen Synapse gives you that same feeling except with guns and neon colors.
