Dark Souls Drake Sword – How to get the Drake Sword in Dark Souls

Loving Dark Souls yet?  And by loving, I of course mean have you chucked your controller across the room yet?

Chances are if you’re here, you’re trying to find out How to get the Drake Sword in Dark Souls.  Luckily for you it’s easy to get!

If for some reason you can’t see the video, or would rather read, it’s quite simple!  After you defeat the  Taurus Demon, you will come to a bridge.  On this bridge is the red dragon who will fly over and breathe fire killing the enemies on the bridge (and you, if you are on the bridge).  Around halfway-ish on the bridge on the right are stairs leading down under the bridge.  Kill the two enemies under the bridge, and then look to the right side.  You will see the dragon’s tail hanging off the side, swinging back and forth.  Switch to your bow and arrow (If you don’t have bow and arrows, you can go buy them from the merchant) and start shooting his tail.  It takes some patience and timing, but after about 15 shots with a standard arrow or 25 shots with a wooden arrow, his tail will fall off and you will receive the Drake Sword!  It’s a very strong sword at this point of the game with 200 power.  Some argue that it’s overpowered, but its strength starts to be outmatched by other weapons by the time you reach the first bell.
