Level-Up
Engrams are crucial for your survival and success within this game. This means that you want to level up as fast as you can.
Amassing XP isn’t anything troublesome, as you get those sweet leveling points by doing basically anything – hit things, kill things, farm things, craft things, expand your thing-base, or simply sit on your dinosaur-thing for a while.
Want even more XP? Then why not join a tribe, and every time a tribe-mate performs a task, you’ll get a small percentage of XP.
Allies and Tribes
Besides gaining quite a lot of shared-XP by just being part of a tribe, being a member of a group has other awesome features. The first thing that comes to mind is that there’s safety in numbers.
Also, there are a ton of things that you can do in this game – tame, breed, and gather resources. All of them are super time-consuming. The whole experience is much more pleasant if you work with your tribe-mates and perform different tasks.
It’s also a lot easier to advance in the game if everyone works for the tribe’s greater good.
It’s starting to look a lot like socialism. My next character will be named Dino Marx.
Yet, don’t expect to join a strong tribe immediately as you start the game. Regardless if you’re on a PVE or PVP server, tribes will not trust you to pull your weight. Make them stand corrected, prove them that you are a valuable asset that gets the job done efficiently, and on-time.
And now it’s starting to look a lot like capitalism. God I love this game.
Build a few bases here and there, spark conversations with various server members, help them out, be a good guy for once. And when you’ve proven that you are useful, tribe invites will rain down like a monsoon.
If that’s not the option, if you simply can’t change your evil ways, get some real-life friends together and start your own tribe.
