Treyarch has revealed a few of the mutliplayer modes that will be at your disposal in Call of Duty: Black Ops. My take? Day. One. Purchase. (Video inside)
If you are anything like me (and Lord, help you if you are), you’ve probably been getting burnt out on the Call of Duty series and it’s omnipresent shadow over the gaming world. After Modern Warfare 2, I was pretty comfortable with the fact that I was never going to buy a CoD game (or Activision product) again. That was also before I saw the footage of the Wager modes in Black Ops.
The video shows off a few competitive modes that are based around gambling points on what your expected outcome will be in the match rankings. Place in the top 3? get paid. Below that? No dice. Simple as that. For a better understanding of how it all works, check out the video.
Man, that game looks hot. Honestly, I’m still a little shocked at how quickly Treyarch has been able to turn me around on this one.
So what do you guys think about the Wager mode? I’m probably most excited for the One in the Chamber mode. I love the ability to have tension in muliplayer modes.
