The Village
Don’t underestimate the importance of recruiting people to join your village. More so, specialists need to be a priority. Build them huts so you can unlock new missions to complete, weapons and skills. Also, don’t forget to upgrade your cave so you can unlock more crafting possibilities.
Located at the back of your cave, you’ll find some piled rocks. It’s a system that tracks your progress. Don’t worry, when you approach them the game will prompt a translation so you understand how far into the game you are.
It’s super important to religiously complete rescue missions and bring more Wenja people to your village. When you amass 20, 40 and 60 Wenja tribespeople, you’ll receive an extra bag of food and weapon resources in your daily Reward Stash.
If you want more free goodies in your daily Reward Stash, level up Sayla’s hut. She can even help with intricate crafting projects.
Beasts
After you have recruited Tensay, and managed to learn the Beast Master skill, you can tame animals. Throw bait near them and then slowly sneak up and follow the prompted instructions. Takkar will always comment if he can tame that specific animal or not. However, you can also press right on the d-pad to get a list of which animals you can control. In that menu you can also see stats and abilities for different beasts. It also allows you to swap your vicious pal at any point.
We recommend you keep an animal by your side at all times. Not only will it protect you from hungry wolves and other predators, but depending on its abilities it can warn you of incoming enemies, tag them, as well as revealing more terrain as you explore.
Order your beast to guard a point, or command it to attack a certain animal or enemy – you have to be pointing, however.
