Three New League Of Legends Champions Revealed

There are a lot of multiplayer games available nowadays and each and every one of them struggles to become the best one in terms of lore, graphics or gameplay. One of these games is League of Legends, a captivating multiplayer online video game that focuses on team play.  The game is developed by Riot Games and it has been released since October 2009. More than 67 million people play the game each month.

Several different heroes are available in LoL and the team behind the game tries to update the champions and reveal new ones almost every month. Tree of the newest League of Legends champions are Sion, Kalista and the recently revealed Rek’Sai.

1. Sion, the Undead Juggernaut

Sion is a fearful fighter that rose from the dead to become the ultimate killing machine.

Lore

Sion was once a mighty warrior of Noxus who was killed in battle. However, the Noxians did not make peace with the thought that their might warrior has fallen so they tried to resurrect him. Although they’ve succeeded to bring back something to life, it was not the Sion they used to know.

The new Sion lacked the confidence, courage and mind of the old mighty warrior so instead of bringing back their leader, the Noxians managed to bring back an uncontrollable killing machine. However, since death Is no longer a problem for Sion, his true spirit can still be awakened in times of war.

Abilities:

  • Passive: Glory in Death
  • Q: Decimating Smash
  • W: Soul Furnace
  • E: Roar of the Slayer
  • R: Unstoppable Onslaught

Laning

Given the fact that Sion’s primary attribute is Fighter and the secondary is Tank, he is a great Top Laner. He is also great when it comes to team play as he can sustain the battle while the other team mates can do their damage.

If you want to use Sion as a jungler, you can especially after you have reached level 6 and unleash your ultimate and ganking becomes a pleasure.

2. Kalista, the Spear of Vengeance

Kalista is a spirit awakened by vengeance and betrayal that leaves nothing alive once it’s invoked.

Lore

It is said that everything started when a woman was the only survivor left in one of the battles for supremacy. She watched as her husband and kids were brutally murdered by the one who was supposed to be their savior. Blinded by grief and desire of vengeance, she used three nails and an old, dark invocation to summon the spirit of Kalista, the Spear of Vengeance.

As all magic comes with a price, in order to receive the vengeance that she so desired, the sword wife gave up her soul to Kalista and they became one. Since then, Kalista takes hold of souls that desire vengeance more than anything else in the world and helps them reach their goal.

Abilities

  • Passive: Martial Poise
  • Q: Pierce
  • W: Sentinel
  • E: Rend
  • R: Fate’s Call

Laning

Kalista’s primary attribute is marksman so she is the perfect add and carry for the bottom lane. One thing that is different about Kalista is her Martial Poise ability, which allows her to hop out of danger or attack opponents through superior positioning skills. As every other Marksman, Kalista should play more on the backline and rely on the support and protection of her team mates.

3. Rek’Sai, the Void Burrower

The newest champion released in League of Legends is Rek’Sai, a predator that uses tunnels to travel below the earth and ambush their prey.

Abilities

  • Passive: Fury of the Xer’Sai
  • Q: Queen’s Wrath/Prey Seeker
  • W: Burrow/ Unburrow
  • E: Furious Bite/ Tunnel
  • R: Void Rush

Lore

As young Aelon searches the dessert for live Xer’Sai, a creature that lies below the earth and is the size of a hound, he finds a ferocious beast. Aelon along other men was travelling the dessert to find Xer’Sai for his uncle’s arena when he came across a burrow of an ancient creature called Rek’sai.

The Rek’Sai was supposedly a massive predator with amazing speed and sight that can kill thousands of men in the blink of an eye. It took only a second for Aelon’s men to be slaughtered and dragged under the ground, but it will take a lifetime for Aelon to forget about the creature he saw.

Laning

The best use for Rek’Sai is in the jungle. As she is capable of creating loads and loads of tunnels, she can move swiftly through the jungle and kill everything in her path. After cleaning out all of her jungle, she moves to the enemy jungle as well. By using the unique angles of attack given to her by the tunnels she creates, she can gank very effectively. In team fights, she can slow down enemies and deal great amounts of damage once she is fed up. Rek’Sai was developed as a cross between a burrower and a Land Shark so beware of her fury.

As the Holiday season is almost upon us, League of Legends offers a series of new, Christmasy skins for most of the champions and they also have plenty of items on sale. Be sure to check out all the other League of Legends champions, skins and the gift center to decide what suits you best.

League of Legends is one of those games that can drive you mad, especially when you lose, but it’s also one of the best multiplayer games on the market right now. What’s even better is the fact that it is FREE.
