With that being said, it’s time to start our detailed guide. You want to reach level 50 in no-time, right?
Hero Tokens
Like previous Battlefront games, this too has Hero Tokens that gives the player control over Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader, to name just a couple.
Hero Tokens can be found on Supremacy and Walker Assault game modes. Heroes are super powerful and while some provide massive damage and can cripple an advancing enemy squadron, others provide a much needed support for defence.
Evasive Maneuvers
Air combat is quite hard. If you’re playing Star Wars Battlefront 2015 on a PC, then we recommend you switch to a gamepad – the Xbox One controller works like a charm.
During combat, foes will shoot homing rockets towards your ship. To avoid blowing up to smithereens, you should use evasive manoeuvres and slide past them. Press left and right to barrel roll past them.
Furthermore, flying close to the ground makes you harder to track.
Villains and Heroes
Don’t get too close to villains or heroes because you won’t stay alive too long – think of seconds. Instead, shoot at them from a distance. If you do get close to them, toss all of your grenades and then run.
They can’t be killed that easily, but a team effort can alleviate some of the damage.
Going Up Isn’t Always the Best Solution
That’s why you should start by staying as low as possible and try to blend with the background. Stay crouched so you don’t get snagged by a pulse canon or a homing missile.
Look Behind You
Another common mistake that newcomers make without even realizing. Across all game modes, enemies can come from behind, and if they have the Scout trait – and managed to level it up within the match; then it’s borderline impossible to see them on the radar map.
Instead of just going willy-nilly straight ahead, you should take a look of what’s behind you from time to time.
Also, backtracking isn’t a wrong strategy as enemies respawn all over the place. You might just catch them off guard.
Yet, this doesn’t mean you should linger in one position and camp behind a corner. I know, it sounds really juicy but you won’t accomplish anything else besides a few kills.
Keep moving and instead of stopping to shoot someone just run and gun – remember, there’s no accuracy penalty if you do so!
Perspective is Super Important!
Don’t linger in the first-person mode too long because you’ll be losing the advantage of third-person. In TP you have the upper hand and you can see above objects and around corners quite easily.
First-person is great if you want to be the sniper on your team, but once you get to medium range, it’s useless.
To change your perspective go to Settings, then Gameplay, then Gameplay & Camera, and select Soldier Camera.
Also, you can swap shoulders by pressing down on the D-Pad.
Don’t Always Shoot Directly at Your Target!
Instead, try to lead your shot to where the enemy is moving to – meaning, shoot in front of the moving target as the laser blast doesn’t teleport itself inside the enemy’s skull.
How to Efficiently Destroy Fighters with the AT-ST
The AT-ST’s laser blasts will follow the enemy’s airship so just barrage it until it’s dead and gone. You also have a special ability in the form of a homing missile – don’t forget to use it.
The majority of players that take control of an AT-ST don’t focus on enemy airships, instead they try to tackle the ground. While it is indeed a great strategy to pummel the enemy footsoldiers, don’t forget that air support can obliterate a squadron that defends a control point.
How to Farm Credits
To properly farm credits, we recommend you play Heroes vs. Villains, Hero Hunt, and Blast. They don’t take that long to finish and you’ll end up with an average of 1,000 credits per game. After you get the hang of Star Wars Battlefront 2015, that is.
Also worth completing are Challenges. These Challenges offer bonus credits. To view them, go to the Stats menu and see what you need to do – Destroy 10 AT-STs, Win 5 Walker Assault matches and so on and so forth.
There’s even a separate game called Base Command that doesn’t require the player to actually own Star Wars Battlefront to play it. Base Command awards the player with Credits that can be transferred to Star Wars Battlefront 2015.
