Volume, the latest game from Thomas Was Alone developer Mike Bithell, will be delayed a couple of weeks – for PlayStation Vita.
The PC, and PS4 versions will follow through with their 18th of August release dates. The portable version needs a little bit of polish, notes Mike.
Volume’s cross-buy promotion is still intact, and if you buy the game for your PlayStation 4, you’ll have the Vita version waiting for you once it’s out.
Even though the Volume Vita Release has been delayed a couple of weeks, there’s no reason to fret.
Mike notes that the games needs a little bit more love. Volume is finished, but there’s the Quality Assurance process that they need to go through, in order to ensure that their game is playable.
Volume, which is a Metal Gear Solid-inspired stealth-game has Andy Serkis playing one of the lead roles in the game. Andy is best known for his portrayal of Gollum in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings.
Andy will do the voice over for the villain named Guy Gisborne.
Mike says that he assembled Gisborne to be played by Andy, and that the actor just fits the character like a glove. After some initial struggles, they managed to get him on-board with some help from Side, a British casting studio.
Serkis isn’t a newcomer to the video-game industry. He played Gollum in the licensed Lord of the Rings games, had some parts in Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and also in Ninja Theory’s Heavenly Sword.
He was seen, just recently, acting in Avengers: Age of Ultron as Ulysses Klaw.
With a lot of great people working on this sneaky MGS-based game, our expectations are through the roof.
Take a look at a little bit of gameplay just down below.
Great design, thrilling game mechanics, and a gripping story makes Volume a must-have.
