8 Best PlayStation 4 Games Released in 2014

2014 was an awesome year for PS4 games. The graphics are getting more and more insane and the whole gaming experience is becoming better and better. Today we have a list of the best PlayStation 4 games released in 2014.

Driveclub

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ny3JYGXCmFg PlayStation exclusive, Driveclub is a racing video game that has had a bit of misfortune along the way. It was supposed to be launched at the same time as PlayStation 4 in November of 2014, but instead it was delayed for one month. Even after it managed to finally hit the shelves, there have been complaints about Driveclub and many believe that it should have been tweaked for at least one more month. If you love racing video games, then you’ll adore Driveclub, with its minor flaws and all.

Helldivers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljRYVsOjH2o Helldivers has been described as one of the most hardcore games to come out of 2014. Whether you play it on a PS Vita or a PS 4, it’s going to challenge you and tire you to no end. It’s a difficult shooter and we recommend it only if you’re a pro at shooters. That’s why we like it, in fact! So, if you want to fight aliens, complete insanely difficult tasks, buy Helldivers and enjoy!

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kqr0yUuSiTs Hotline Miami released in 2012 was a pleasant surprise to many gamers and its sequel released this year is the same. It is a pixelated action game that pays tribute to the ‘80s games and you’re going to love it, even if you’re not a child of the ‘80s. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is a breath of fresh air and that is why we highly recommend it.

Mad Max

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gbdv1GzxAto To be completely frank, the world is a bit tired of post-apocalyptic settings, be it in games or movies, but somehow this game works. It was about time someone turned this very popular movie into a game and we think the timing couldn’t have been better, with the movie starring Charlize Theron coming out next year.

Hohokum

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSZ0cLRJWqk This game is available on PlayStation 3, 4 and PlayStation Vita and it’s a doozey. Most people are going to be both baffled and intrigued by this non-linear game. Just take a quick look at its trailer and tell us if you understand anything from it. It’s the trippiest game trailer we’ve seen in a while, if not ever. Any game that elicits such raw emotion and confusion is worth playing!

Destiny

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMGE3B2wsS8 Destiny has had a lot of high expectations attached to it and after its release in September of 2014, the general consensus is that it lived up to its expectations. The creators of Halo did it again with this splendid PS4 game, one of the best games to come out of 2014.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtVdAasjOgU The Witcher franchise is one of the most beloved RPG franchises in the world. We can’t recommend this game enough and believe that if you want something truly spectacular, this is the game for you!

Deep Down

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbFBEjlKtpY Deep Down started out as a very impressive PlayStation 4 technical demonstration but when it turned out that it was actually a game, people went mad about it! For good reason, too. It is a PS4 exclusive RPG game from a company that’s quite new in this area. We recommend you give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised. Are you still using a Sony PlayStation 1, 2 or 3? Some of these games will work on those models, but make sure you double check that before purchasing a game. What is your favorite game that came out this year?

About Andrew Christian

Christian has been gaming ever since his parents bought his first PC. His earliest gaming memory goes back more than 15 years ago, a moment in time that he acknowledges to be the starting point in mastering Street Fighter. As a blogger, he is very enthusiastic about every release he writes about, hoping readers will benefit from his gaming experience. Concerning the games he enjoys playing the most, he looks for good realism more than for special effects. Apart from video games, he loves strategy board games as well, such as Risk, Diplomacy, Game of Thrones and The Settlers of Catan.
