Metal Gear Solid 5 Side Ops 26-50

Metal Gear Solid 5 Side Ops Guide 25 to 50

Side Ops #26 – Extract – Highly Skilled Soldier 16

We recommend you bring DD along with you as he can sniff everyone’s location inside the well-guarded facility.

This valuable target can be found on the left part of the Gate 2 at OKB Zero. He has three buddies that surround him, and a ton more outside.

Like every other highly skilled soldier, he’ll be wearing a balaclava mask and a helmet. Don’t go in guns blazing, because there are high chances that you’ll end up killing him in the process.

Consider an approach from the western sector of the gate – it’s the secret path. Why? It’s easier to subdue and neutralize your enemies this way.

By now, you should have the Wormhole upgrade, which allows to extract the highly skilled soldier from the area.

Side Ops #27 – Extract – Prisoner 01

Metal Gear Solid 5 Side Ops Guide Number 27

This Side Op can be started after you have completed Side Ops #5 – Secure the RIOT SMG Blueprint.

We recommend you bring DD with you as he can aid Big Boss with his sniffing ability.

This will be the first time you’ll be extracting a prisoner. He can be found in the main shed, just in the middle of the outpost. There’s just one lone soldier guarding him.

Go to the back of the building and use a distraction noise to bait the soldier outside. Afterwards, you can easily neutralize him and go inside.

Or, you can use DD to Tactical Fulton the prisoner.

Side Ops #28 – Extract – Prisoner 02

This Side Op can be started after you have completed Side Ops #47 – Extract the Little Lost Sheep and #27 – Prisoner Extraction 01.

This prisoner can be found in Da Shago Kallai’s main building, at the second floor.

It’s super guarded, so be careful how you infiltrate the area. Don’t make a noise as soldiers will swarm your position within minutes. Take to the northern wall and climb your way up until you reach the second floor. You’ll have to subdue the guard on the roof first, because he can easily spot you.

Find the prisoner and extract him.

If you bring DD with you, and you also have his Tactical Fulton option, you can save a lot of ammo and it’s a more useful strategy.

Side Ops #29 – Extract – Prisoner 03

Metal Gear Solid Ops Guide Number 29

We recommend you bring DD with you on this one, as he can easily sniff your target’s location.

Your prisoner, this time, is going to be a woman. She’s held hostage deep inside the northern area of the Afghanistan Base Camp. You’ll find her in a green tent. There are two soldiers on the building rooftop next to the tent, and another one outside her location.

You don’t have to necessarily neutralize the soldiers on the rooftop. Stay as close to the ground as you can, and crawl your way towards the prisoner. Bait the soldier that’s guarding her on the ground and neutralize him.

Let DD extract the target if he has the Tactical Fulton option for a faster in-and-out scenario.

Side Ops #30 – Extract – Prisoner 04

We recommend you bring DD along with you as he can sniff your target’s location. Or, if you don’t fancy his skills considering bringing Quiet and you can sit back and enjoy the show.

Prisoner #4 can be found on the western side of the Relay Base in a tin shed, adjacent to the big guard tower.

There are 4 soldiers watching over him. You can either subdue the soldiers yourself, or, if you brought Quiet with you, let your companion do the work as you focus on reaching the target.

The second method is letting DD Tactical Fulton the prisoner and watch how all the soldiers cry at the same time.

Side Ops #31 – Extract – Prisoner 05

Metal Gear Solid Ops Guide Number 31

We recommend you bring DD with you and his awesome Tactical Fulton ability.

This one will be located at guard post number 14. He’ll be guarded by 2 soldiers – and there are another four patrolling the area, so be careful how and where you crawl.

With caution, neutralize the soldiers protecting the prisoner and Fulton him out of there.

Brought DD along with you? He has his Tactical Fulton skill? Then this is easy as pie, as you can just sit back and watch how your favourite doggie does all the work for you.

Side Ops #32 – Extract – Prisoner 06

Bring DD with you and his awesome Tactical Fulton skill. Or, take Quiet and you don’t have to lift a hand.

This prisoner is located inside a house at guard post number 12. There’s one soldier guarding her in front of the door, and there are about four other enemies patrolling around the area.

Go to the back of the house and bait the soldier sitting at the front door.

You don’t have to neutralize the rest of the soldiers as they can be avoided super easy. Yet, if they have awesome stats that you need, go the extra mile and subdue them.

If you bring Quiet, just let her unleash the wrath of a thousand suns upon your enemies as you just wait for the coast to clear up.

DD can quickly go inside and Tactical Fulton the female prisoner while you don’t do anything.

Side Ops #33 – Extract – Prisoner 07

Metal Gear Solid Ops Guide Number 33

We recommend you bring DD along, as he has the most awesome skill – Tactical Fulton the prisoner.

There’s a prisoner located at Spugmay Keep. You’ll find him sitting at the top of the hill, just above the ruins. There are 5 guards keeping watch over him.

We recommend you take the southern road route and climb the upper ledges until you reach the top of the hill. Subdue the first soldier you encounter, and you can Fulton the prisoner without the need to engage with the rest of the enemies.

If you bring DD along with you, you can Tactical Fulton the prisoner without doing anything – except chill, of course.

Side Ops #34 – Extract – Prisoner 08

We recommend you bring DD along as he can sniff the target’s location and use Tactical Fulton. This means, no more wasting ammunition on enemies.

Right in the middle of the Bampeve Plantation, you’ll find a house. Inside, the prisoner will be located. Beware, he is guarded by 2 soldiers.

Stay as close to the ground as you can, and duck in and out of cover religiously. Neutralize the two guards and make sure that nobody else is patrolling the area. Snatch the prisoner and get out of there.

Or let DD and his Tactical Fulton do all the work. But where’s the fun in that?

Side Ops #35 – Extract – Prisoner 09

Metal Gear Solid Ops Guide Number 35

We recommend you bring Quiet along as she can easily scout the area and demolish the 4 enemy snipers.

This female prisoner can be found held hostage right in the middle of the Aabe Shipaf Ruins court. She’s guarded by 4 Sniper soldiers. The guards are hidden, and any attempt to break the prisoner’s chains loose will be met by a swift bullet to the head.

  • Eastern Section Sniper

Go to the eastern area of the ruins and you’ll find the sniper standing just under the columns.

  • Center Sniper

This guard can be found in a crouched position on top of the building in the middle of the zone.

  • Western Section Sniper

Go to the western entrance of the area to find the third sniper. Unfortunately, Quiet can’t mark him so you’ll have to do it manually.

  • Northern Section Sniper

The last one can be located next to the waterfall, at the very top of a rock ledge. Take to the lower rive so you can easily climb and subdue the sniper.

Alternatively, let Quiet snipe them dead so you can go on your merry way to extract the female prisoner.

Side Ops #36 – Extract – Prisoner 10

We recommend you bring DD along as he can sniff the target’s location. However, Quiet seems to be the best choice. If you can, take her instead. The area is super guarded and she is of tremendous help when dealing with swarms of enemies.

This prisoner can be found in Lamar Khaate Palace, in one of those metal sheds. He is heavily protected by four soldiers and two snipers. The snipers can be found on the roof of the palace.

There are other enemies patrolling the area around the palace.

You can either a) use the Stun Arm blast level 3 to end all of their lives, or b) knock them out one by one.

Extract your prisoner and whoever you deem worthy of bolstering your Mother Base.

Side Ops #37 – Extract – Prisoner 11

Metal Gear Solid Ops Guide Number 37

We recommend you bring DD along with you as he is the best companion to sniff out your target’s location.

This prisoner is located south of the Bwala ya Massa. She is found at the very top of the tin shed, with a couple of guards ensuring she doesn’t escape.

However, you’ll most likely find both guards killed be ferocious jackals. If this happens, end their lives so you can extract your prisoner.

Side Ops #38 – Extract – Prisoner 12

We recommend you bring DD along as he can sniff out the target’s location.

This prisoner is held hostage at a river’s end. The one that leads to the Ngumba Industrial Zone. Follow the stream and you’ll find the encampment.

Be careful, there are seven soldiers guarding him and even with the mist involved, it’s a challenge to complete this extraction.

The easiest way to finish this mission is to bring DD close enough so he can use the Tactical Fulton option.

If you don’t have this option available, we recommend you take them one by one. Start luring the most eastern located soldier and make your way from there.

Side Ops #39 – Extract – Prisoner 13

Metal Gear Solid Ops Guide Number 39

We recommend you bring DD along as he can sniff out the target’s location.

This prisoner is located between guard post number 3 and 5. She is hidden between a rock crevice and a hill. There are about seven soldiers guarding her and ensuring she doesn’t escape.

Three teams comprised of two soldiers each are patrolling the area north, and south of her, with a lone soldier sitting above the hill.

We recommend you start with the one that sits on top of the hill as he can be subdued quite easily. Afterwards, wait for the teams to come in and knock them out one by one.

Approach the female prisoner when the coast is clear and extract her out. Good thing you saved her butt, as she is one of the best Combat Unit members you’ll ever have.

Side Ops #40 – Extract – Prisoner 14

We recommend you bring DD along with you as he is the only one that can locate the prisoner quickly.

South of the Kungenga Mines, you’ll find a river bend. That’s the location of prisoner #14.

There are two soldiers tasked with guarding the prisoner. First, subdue the one that is patrolling the area, and afterwards, eliminate the one that’s standing around.

Extract the prisoner once the coast is clear.

Side Ops #41 – Extract – Prisoner 15

Metal Gear Solid 5 Side Opgs Guide Number 41

This is the easiest prisoner extraction, as he isn’t guarded by anyone. You’ll find him in an abandoned hangar at the airport in Africa. The hangar is located at the south end of the area.

Don’t forget to take the three rare resource containers from the hangar.

Fulton him and the containers for a massive win.

Side Ops #42 – Extract – Prisoner 16

We recommend you bring DD along, if he has the Tactical Fulton skill.

Go to the Munoko ya Nioka station. The prisoner is located in a shed, at the north of the station. There’s a gunship that roams the skies, just above the station, and five other ground troops protecting their asset.

We recommend you stick to the ground, and use the mountain walls as a hiding place. Infiltrate from the northern side of the area in order to remain perfectly unseen. The gunship will eventually leave the place, but it will come back. When it disappears from the sky, jump down and subdue the two guard that are sitting right next to the shed.

Afterwards,  make your way inside and Fulton the prisoner.

If you have DD, and he’s capable of equipping the Tactical Fulton, let him do all the work for you.

Side Ops #43 – Extract – Prisoner 17

Metal Gear Solid 5 Side Ops Guide Number 43

We recommend you bring DD along as he can sniff out the enemies within the area.

This prisoner can be found in a tiny shed between guard post number 8 and number 5. It’s a small forested area.

However, he’s guarded by 10 soldiers. There are 2 snipers and 8 infantry-men ready to kill anyone that approaches the site.

We recommend you deploy to the north-west point of guard post number 8, and make your way from there – if you can, take to the forest from northeast.

By doing so, you can totally bypass the snipers and seven guards. You have to deal with just one lone and unlucky soldier. Stick to the ground so nobody has a chance of noticing your presence, and reach the shed’s window.

If you have DD, and he’s equipped with Tactical Fulton, you can order your dog to extract the prisoner. If not, you’ll have to subdue the 3 soldiers that are guarding the prisoner.

Side Ops #44 – Extract – Prisoner 18

We recommend you bring DD along with you as he can sniff out the target’s location. Or, if you don’t feel like moving a muscle, bring Quiet along.

This prisoner is held hostage in the Sakhra Ee village, inside a house located at the very top of the hill. There are snipers positioned on the hills, near the house.

We recommend you infiltrate the residence by taking the western side. You can kill the snipers on the hill quite easily so you can crawl your way to the house. Also, thee guards are protecting the house. Bait them outside, and knock them out one by one.

Side Ops #45 – Extract – Prisoner 19

Metal Gear Solid 5 Side Ops Guide Number 45

We recommend you bring DD along with you as he can sniff out the target’s location.

This prisoner can be located inside a well-guarded building, just near the left part of the Gate 2, in OKB Zero.

There are two soldiers keeping a watch over him from the outside, but he’s alone in the room. You can easily neutralize the two guards.

Make sure there’s nobody suddenly patrolling the area and Fulton him out of there.

Side Ops #46 – Extract – Prisoner 20

We recommend you bring DD along with you as he can sniff out the target’s location.

This female prisoner can be located in the middle of the Munoko ya Nioka station. She’s inside a shed – a yellow shed. She’ll be well guarded by eight soldiers – this also includes a terrifying gunship hovering above the shed.

Stick to the ground and crawl your way to the station from the north part. This way, you can bait guards one by one, and subdue them without the gunship observing your meddling.

Side Ops #47 – Extract – The Little Lost Sheep

Metal Gear Solid 5 Side Ops Guide Number 47

This Side Op can be started after you have completed the #5 Side Op – Secure the RIOT SMG Blueprint.

This will play out exactly like you think. No, the Little Lost Sheep isn’t codename for an awesome new addition to your Mother Base. It’s actually just a sheep.

The Little Lost Sheep can be found at the east of the Da Wialo Village. The sheep will be guarded by 2 soldiers. You can neutralize them quite easily, and proceed to extract the sheep.

Side Ops #48 – Capture – The Legendary Brown Bear

To be frank, he’s just like any other bear, except the fact that he’s more resistant to tranquillizer darts.  Look for a white bear that roams the area, and employ the same strategy you would with any other beast.

Shoot him with tranquillizer darts and kite him. He’ll eventually fall asleep. Fulton him and that’s it.

Or, you can use the stun arm if you want a quicker route. I recommend you charge the stun arm at its maximum capacity, wait for the bear to come in range and deliver a one-hit knock out shot.

Side Ops #49 – Capture – The Legendary Ibis

Metal Gear Solid 5 Side Ops Guide Number 49

This Side Op is fairly easy and it provides an awesome reward. If you successfully capture the Ibis bird, you’ll unlock the Hand of Jehuty. The Hand is a bionic arm of sorts, which gives you the power of teleportation. Well, not for you, but for your enemies.

You see, you can teleport enemies to your position for interrogation and CQC.

If you want the Hand of Jehuty, you’ll have to go to the west of Lufwa Valley mansion. Take DD with you so you can pin-point the bird’s location, take some Acceleramin to slow down time and land the shot. Don’t kill it, use a tranq weapon.

Fulton the bird to your Mother Base to complete the mission and begin development on the Hand of Jehuty.

It’s a little bit tough to locate the bird, especially when it’s wandering in the jungle. You can easily find it at the very top of a waterfall, blending in with the fauna.

Side Ops #50 – Capture – The Legendary Jackal

There’s just one Legendary Jackal in Metal Gear Solid 5, but it isn’t that hard to find him. He travels with a pack of jackals near the middle of the mission circle. Begin your search from there. When you figure out who is the Legendary Jackal, dart him and Fulton him out of there!
