NEWEST Game Reviews

When I was first approached about writing a review for Sine Mora I thought to myself “Oh great, this shouldn’t take long at all!  An XBLA scroller can’t have that much depth!” Boy was I wrong. Describing this game is no easy task.  It’s unlike other side scrolling shooters in the sense that it has a very immersive and intricate story.  It pulls you in, tries not to let go, and kicks some ass in the process.

Set in the world of the Majesty series, Most Wanted Entertainment brings a new twist on the increasingly popular ‘Tower Defense’ genre with Defenders of Ardania.  Rather than just the traditional concept of placing various towers to defend your base from waves of enemies, you’re given the chance to send your own army against the opposition.  Unfortunately, a new twist does not make up for the various flaws that keep this game from being anything but enjoyable.

Tricky review to write, this one! Tricky review indeed. You see Battlefield 3 is really two separate games fighting for attention in the same package. One of them (and arguably the one that most of the series’ core fanbase are interested in) is very, very good indeed.
